Home Toothache Remedies
1. Garlic
It’s a cure of old, used down the ages to treat not just toothaches but many other common ailments as well. For a toothache, what you need to do is put a little rock salt on a small clove and then place it on the aching tooth. Let it sit there until the pain subsides, which will be in a few minutes. After that, make it a habit to chew garlic cloves; they are good for strong teeth and they will prevent continued toothaches. They are a little bitter at first, but make yourself get used to chewing them and you will get used to the taste.
2. Onions
Yes, the very onions that you cook with every day have great antibacterial properties that fight the germs that cause toothaches if you eat them raw. If you get a toothache, get a piece of onion and then try and chew it on the side that hurts. Again, it will be bitter, but the pain will go. Also, just like garlic, if you make it a habit to chew a piece of onion every day, you will find that you have great oral health.
3. Toothpaste and mouth wash
If your toothache is sudden and very painful, there could be something lodged in a cavity somewhere. If you squeeze a little ball of toothpaste onto your finger and put the paste in the cavity, the pain will reduce. Follow with a mouth wash rinse so that you can get rid of whatever was lodged permanently.
4. Cloves
Cloves work just like garlic and you will use them in the form of clove oil. Using a dropper, put a few drops in the affected areas. This will take the pain away.
